We are a small farm in the south of Cornwall, producing high welfare pedigree beef, pork and Poultry. We believe that the best produce comes from the happiest animals, and so we run all our animals outside and free range year round.

The orchard
Quite a while ago, back in January, we planted what will become the orchard, hopefully for our own cider!
although we had to sacrifice a field, it was worth it as we have never really used the field properly due it being separate (across the road) from the main farm.
Hopefully in 3-4 years we will start to get some apples, both cooking and eating, as well as delicious Plums, pears, quinces and Mulberries. Soon we will plant some Peaches, Apricots, nectarines, cherries, grapes and figs. we have relatively acid ground, so we had to work hard to neutralize it, and we look forwards to see (and taste) the fruits of our labors.
Here are some Photos of them being planted, we got a neighbor and his mini digger to dig the holes, as we didn't fancy hand digging 50 odd holes, on rather rocky ground!
This is the particularity nice old Massey Ferguson he turned up on:
And here he is busy fighting the rocks:
Next time it is Sunny and the Camera has some battery, I will attempt to take a half decent photo of the finished article.
